40+ Years of Corporate Success

Rita's Legacy of Work

Here is Rita’s legacy of work. It is the culmination of fighting for causes furthering women's equality so that she could not only succeed for herself and for her family, but also, so she could build a bridge for the next generation of women to be better equipped and empowered to own the journey to their desired success.

Rita comes from a long lineage of hard work, resilience, and commitment going back to her roots in deep south Mississippi where her grandfather grew up in the cotton fields and her grandmother was a maid and cook. Growing up in Nashville, TN from the age of 4, Rita was raised by her mother, an educator, and her father, a pathologist and veteran who taught Rita the value of education, discipline, competition, and the will to succeed.

Rita is perpetual overcomer and a person who doesn’t settle for anything but success. This list of community involvement, achievements, awards, and publications is Rita’s body of work. This list represents the care, the heart, the struggle, and the journey itself.
